Question 1

What is DevMatch?

Accepted Answer

DevMatch finds engineers and scientists from public work (papers, open source and patents) for deeptech and hardtech teams.

Question 2

How does DevMatch find engineers?

Accepted Answer

Paste a job description. DevMatch matches it against what people have actually built (code, research, technical reports, patents) and returns the ones who uniquely fit.

Question 3

Does DevMatch integrate with Cursor or Claude?

Accepted Answer

Yes. DevMatch provides an MCP server that works with Cursor, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, and any MCP-compatible AI assistant. Search candidates, pull profiles, and find similar projects directly from your editor. The website also registers the same tools in-page via WebMCP for agents running in the user's browser tab.

Question 4

What kinds of people can DevMatch find?

Accepted Answer

Software engineers, researchers, aerospace and defense engineers, inventors, and specialists in fields like mining and nuclear, each found through work they have done.

Question 5

Can DevMatch check people against public work with evidence?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After a shortlist or before outreach, founding teams can check people against the same public-work-with-evidence index used for search. You get a report with public contribution history and identity match. Percentile scoring and fraud flags are in development, available on request for early access.
